Nervous System Regulation Webinar
Have you ever wondered “what happened to my well behaved puppy?” So many clients come to me once their dog hits adolescence baffled that it feels like all their training has gone completely out the window. Good news! You’re not crazy, and neither is your dog! Their brains are undergoing a massive neurochemical overhaul that literally makes this time in their development just as hard as it is for them as it is for you. The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel once their brains come fully online. But how do you both survive until then?
Join me for a 4-week master course designed to help you survive the tweenage stage in your dog’s development. We will do a scientifically rigorous deep dive into why your dog behaves the way they do, and how you both can develop the training and relationship skills to get through it.
We will cover:
Brain development and the chemistry that drives impulsivity
social behaviors, and play regulation
self soothing, nervous system regulation, and relaxation
species typical enrichment and ways to pursue them that don’t drive your dog over threshold
currently awaiting confirmation on IAABC CEUs (great for trainers and dedicated owners alike) and will be confirmed before the start date
Barley worked for many years on several projects, across countries and continents contributing to the global mission of environmental conservation with my treasured friend Kayla Fratt for the nonprofit K9 Conservationists that she cofounded. His work has contributed to research across the globe (literally!) and now, after a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis, it’s time for him to retire with peace, dignity, and comfort. Kayla needs significant financial support to help Barley receive the medical support that a canine hero deserves. I’m offering 20% of ticket sales directly to support Barley’s medical care and to support her ability to ease his transition as he ends this chapter
